Ty Allan Jackson visit Frederick Harris Elementary

Author Ty Allan Jackson had the pleasure of speaking to over 500 students and 100+ educators at Frederick Harris Elementary School in Springfield, MA during Family Literacy Day. After school there was an open house where he gave a keynote to the parents about the importance of reading in the home. It was a magical day.

And the winner for Entrepreneur/VIsionary of the year is......not Ty Allan Jackson but what an honor to be one of the finalist from The Berkshire Chamber of Commerce. Ty was nominated for promoting literacy in the Berkshires and beyond through his most recent book “YOU ARE AMAZING/I AM AMAZING”, a self-affirmation book for children featuring real children from the Berkshires.

MassInc. Gateway City Leader - Ty Allan Jackson

Ty Allan Jackson stated it was an honor to be featured as a "Gateway City Leader" by MassInc. Ty was given this honor for promting literacy to the youth of Masachusetts but also for his work in promoting literacy to incarcerated parents though The F.U.L.L. Program. An institution based program built to sever the cycle of incarceration that is so prominent in America. This program founded by S.E.E.D. Network C.E.O. Eddie Taylor has changed thousands of lives by reducing the recidivism rate to single digits through those who have participated.

Ty Allan Jackson Partners with The United Way in Changing Lives

In December of 2014 author Ty Allan Jackson in collarbation with The United Way of the Greater Capital Region promoted literacy to over 400 pre-school studetns through a program titled ONE BOOK. The "one book" that was used was Ty Allan Jackson's picture book masterpiece "When I Close My Eyes". The attached image provides an example of the impact promoting literacy can have on a child.
